Spelunker HD, which was released for PlayStation 3 in 2009 and won the PlayStation Store Special Award at the PlayStation Awards that year, has been revived with a full remake on PlayStation 4 and Switch as Ganso Minna de Spelunker. Ganso Minna de Spelunker is an action game in which the cave explorer Spelunker, said to be “the weakest chracter in video game history,” explores caves full of mystery. With 100 stages consisting of abandoned mines, underground lakes, ancient ruins, glaciers, and more, Spelunker’s goal is to reach the depths of each cave. Caves are full of dangers including natural terrain, cave creatures, and malicious traps—and enemies and traps that appear to be traces of an unknown civilization will appear in the latter half of the cavern. Spelunker must overcome these obstacles by properly utilizing items such as bombs, flares, portable fans, and more, as well as his jump technique. But be cautious, as Spelunker is quite weak! If you fall from your own height, or get hit by bat poop, you will die. Spelunker’s weakness, or his “fragile constitution,” gives the game a moderate sense of tension and rhythm, making it more interesting as an action game.

Spelunker II: Yuusha he no Chousen is a Japan-exclusive action video game released for the Family Computer in 1987. An unofficial translation to English was made as a ROM hack. Despite being titled as a sequel to Spelunker, Spelunker II: Yūsha e no Chōsen features vastly different gameplay. There was a separate arcade sequel, titled Spelunker II: 23 no Kagi, which features similar gameplay to the first Spelunker game as well. The two Spelunker II games are separate entries in the series and are not related.

A miner has to find the exit to a world of wonders that is deep in the ground. During his journey he has to collect bombs to destroy rocks in his way, collect keys to open doors and pick up little potions that refresh his timer. Treasure chests can be opened for bonus items.

Patapon 3 is a rhythm game for the PlayStation Portable and sequel to Patapon 2. Gameplay is mostly unchanged from previous titles, but has a greater focus on multiplayer than Patapon 2. LittleBigPlanet 2 is a puzzle platformer video game centered around user-generated content, first announced on May 8th, 2010 in the June 2010 issue of gaming magazine Game Informer. The game was developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for the PlayStation 3 console, and is the last major Little Big Planet game in the series to be produced by Media Molecule, as the sequel, Little Big Planet 3 would be produced by Sumo Digital, Tarsier Studios, and The Station. Unlike the original LittleBigPlanet which was marketed as a "Platform game", LittleBigPlanet 2 was marketed as a "Platform for Games". The game is 100% backwards compatible with all user-created content (including personal profiles) from the first game. It is a direct sequel to LittleBigPlanet, and the third game in the series. The disc also features Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, a ModNation Racers demo, as well as a PlayStation Network tutorial video.
