It details Nelly and Tom's adventures through time to battle their nemesis, Totenkraft, the game's deuteragonist, which was a first for this series. The game features the 'find the hidden object' objectives of the series, with two added devices. The Ring of Time allows you to travel through time to find the hidden object in the past/future, and the X-Glass functions as a pseudo-X-ray for looking through things (for example, boxes).
