Those lights are the last cities, sparkling in the dark. That crescent husk is what remains, floating between the stars. Everything is an engine, and every planet is a vehicle.

The city no longer offered anything that felt like freedom. The days of its growth and conquests were over. It was only a matter of time before it would crumble and be swallowed by the earth, ensnared in tangling roots. But there had to be another way. There had to be something beyond, somewhere that had become concealed as a result of nature's resurgence.
