Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

Mario & Sonic on the Wii is a collection of twenty-four events based on the Olympic Games. Players can assume the role of a Nintendo or Sega character while competing against the others in these events. Players use the Wii Remote to mimic actions performed in real life sports, such as swinging a paddle.

In this arcade companion game to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and the second arcade installment of the Mario & Sonic series. As with the Nintendo Switch version, the game takes place in Tokyo, Japan, home of the 2020 Summer Olympics, and features events from both 2020, as well as 2D Events from the 1964 Summer Olympics, which were also held in Tokyo.

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is the fifth installment of the Mario & Sonic series. Unlike previous games, this game was officially licensed by the International Olympic Committee for the 31st Summer Olympic Games and taking place in the host city Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
