Railfan: Taiwan High Speed Rail takes place in Taiwan, along the real-world Taiwan High Speed Rail line between Taipei in the North, and Zuoying to the South. Like the previous game in the series, Taiwan High Speed Rail uses full-HD footage of the rail line. The player is responsible for driving at the appropriate speeds and reaching stations on schedule. There are game modes which score the player based on total time spent on the route, energy used, or accuracy in stopping the train at stations. The game also includes a mode highlighting tourist spots along the route, with mentions of historic locations as well as sightseeing spots and restaurants.

The first PS3 installment of Ongakukan's Train Simulator series. It features three different rail lines - JR East's Chuo Line between Mitaka and Tokyo, the Keihan Electric Railway's Main Line between Demachiyanagi and Yodoyabashi, and the Chicago Transit Authority's Brown Line between Fullerton and the Loop. In a first for the series, it features full HD video, as well as the ability to view the train from an external viewpoint. In addition, the game also features a "Densha de Go!" mode emulating the gameplay of that series.

Let's Run the Yamanote Line") is an electric train simulation game developed by Taito and released by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 exclusively in Japan on December 3, 2020. It will be released on the Nintendo Switch on March 18, 2021. Based on the 2017 arcade game Densha de Go!!, Hashirō Yamanote-sen features the full Yamanote Line (as the original arcade version only included the southern part of it) as well as additional routes that run parallel with it (the Keihin-Tohoku Line, the Saikyo Line, the Ueno-Tokyo Line, and the Narita Express) and the part of the Chuo-Sobu Line from the arcade version. Additionally, this version includes a new objective-based campaign mode and PlayStation VR support.

To celebrate the launch of Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote-sen on consoles in 2020, Square Enix published a free mobile version of the original Densha de GO! on their official website in Japan. When viewing the website on a mobile device, the page automatically launched the 1997 game.

Densha de Go!! Kids (loosely translated to "Go by Train!! Kids") is an electric train simulation game developed by Taito and released by Square Enix for arcades (using PC-based Taito Type X4 hardware) in Japan on March 1, 2019. A spin-off of the 2017 game Densha de Go!!, Kids featured a simplistic single-screen arcade cabinet with a more child-friendly user interface and unique game rules (such as cleaning cartoon-ish obstacles from the window).

How often has your train been delayed because of "signal failure" and you've wondered why trains can't be routed around the problem - or why it is even a problem in the first place? You'll soon see exactly why - with SimSig! SimSig is a simulation of a type of signal box used in the UK known as an Integrated Electronic Control Centre or IECC . First-hand railway experience along with the valuable input of others in the industry have helped to make this the most realistic signaling simulation available in the UK today. The ultimate test of this realism came when Railtrack trialed a version of SimSig for the Swindon B IECC. They were very happy with it, not having had a proper simulator for IECCs before which enabled them to assess and train signalers. While the Railtrack version of SimSig now has more features at their request, the underlying core and data are the same. Hence what you see is almost identical to what real signalers are being trained on and what they use every day! SimSig puts you in the seat of a signaler, also called a Dispatcher or Network Control Officer, operating signaling screens based on the widely used IECC and Westcad graphics used in the UK. That is, you operate the signals and points/switches in order to get trains to their destinations on time. SimSig has a wide range of areas you can operate including large portions of the UK, a small US simulation, and a couple of Australian areas. Each has its own challenges and skill level, the latter ranging from easy to mentally complicated.

Densha de GO! is a 1997 train simulator arcade game developed and published by Taito in Japan. Players are tasked with driving a train, adhering to the schedule and obeying signals and speed restrictions. It features real-world train lines from Japan, including the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line. The game was ported to the PC, Sega Saturn, and PlayStation. The concept for Densha de Go! was inspired by designer Akira Saito's personal fascination with Japanese train lines and railroads. He wanted to create a game that allowed players to familiarize themselves with driving a train. The controls were his primary focus as he wanted them to be accurate and responsive, and to mimic the controls of a real train—his father worked for the Kyoto City Transportation Bureau Facilities Division, which made this easier to accomplish. Saito included real-world railroads and trains to appeal towards other railroad enthusiasts, thinking that it could also attract more "ordinary" players for its realistic, familiar theme. As arcades at the time were dominated primarily by racing and fighting games, he believed its unique concept could make it stand out. Densha de Go! is among Taito's most successful games, preceded only by Space Invaders. The PlayStation version sold over one million copies. The game was well-received by critics for its controls, attention to detail, and unique concept. Some felt that its home releases lacked enough content and had poor visuals. It was followed by a long series of sequels, spin-offs, and reimaginings, beginning with Densha de Go! 2 in 1999.
