Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth

Star Soldier is a budget remake of the classic top-down shooter which puts you behind the cockpit of a lone starfighter as you attempt to stop an alien invasion. This remake features a completely new polygonal engine with new stages, enemies and weapons. Additionally the game has been specifically redesigned for the PSP's 16:9 screen, meaning you have to turn the console on its side to play the game in a vertical orientation.

RayForce (released in western Arcades as "Gunlock") is a top-down shooter. Demon Attack is an arcade action game with gameplay similar to Space Invaders. You control a laser cannon at the bottom of the screen, and need to destroy wave after wave of brightly colored demons. The demons bounce around the screen in bizarre patterns, and try to destroy your cannon with bombs or lasers. When you shoot a demon, it will be replaced with another or will split into two smaller demons depending on which wave you are playing. When the required number of demons for the current round is finally destroyed, you can move on to the next, more difficult round.

Formation Armed F is a vertically scrolling shooter. The basic gameplay principle offers no surprises: shooting a lot of aliens without getting hit by their attacks. Additionally there are environmental obstacles like poisonous gas or walls. Of course the player can collect power ups to upgrade the ship, e.g. speed-ups or a large variation of weaponry. Each of the seven levels has its own set of weaponry which suits the enemies. The big exception are smaller ships which stay near to the main ship. By pressing a second fire button, the formation can be changed. There are no continues.

Out Zone is a vertically scrolled run and gun video game set in the future of the year 2097, where an alien race from the fictional planet Owagira are threatening to wipe out humanity. After multiple failed attempts to defend Earth against their attacks, players assume the role of cyborg mercenaries recruited by the United Nations in a last-ditch effort to overthrow the invaders

Darius is a two-dimensional horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up set in a fictional future. Uniquely among shoot 'em ups, the game's screen is three times wider than conventional size, and the arcade cabinet uses an arrangement of three screens to accommodate it. The player controls an ornate fighter spacecraft, named the Silver Hawk, and must navigate through scrolling terrain while battling a variety of fighter craft, ground vehicles, turrets, and other obstacles throughout the game's stages (referred to as zones in the game). The ship's arsenal consists of forward-firing missiles, aerial bombs and a protective force field, all of which can be upgraded by power-ups (in the form of large, colored orbs) that are dropped by specially-colored enemies throughout the game's zones. When the player reaches the end of a zone, a boss appears, which must be defeated to proceed. Once the boss of a zone is destroyed, the player is given a choice of which zone to play next via a branching path. While there are 28 zones in total, only seven can be played in a single run. A Sega Mega Drive port was produced in 2019 that is pre-installed in the Mega Drive Mini as a bonus game.

The lost city of Atlantis is under attack! Wave after wave of Gorgon vessels are approaching, each armed with weapons capable of destroying a part of the city. You are in charge of the command posts at the edges of the city and need to defend it from the invaders. The various gorgon craft will keep flying by on the screen in varying numbers and in different flight patterns. At first they fly high in the sky but then progressively lower. If an enemy makes it low enough before you destroy it, it will use it's weapons and destroy one of the buildings in Atlantis. As you progress in the game, the enemy craft will keep increasing in speed. The game ends when all remaining buildings in the city have been destroyed.
