A side scrolling 2D platformer and first entry in the Super Mario franchise, Super Mario Bros. follows Italian plumber Mario as he treks across many levels of platforming challenges featuring hostile enemies to rescue Princess Peach from the evil king Bowser.

Players choose from twelve characters and traverse levels across the Flower Kingdom, a new setting for the series. New power-ups include an elephant transformation, a bubble flower, and a drill hat, while an equippable badge system allows players to customize their abilities. It includes Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, a special version of the Game & Watch game Ball and a clock based on Super Mario Bros. It was the first Game & Watch game released after Mario the Juggler (released in 1991) and the first game in the new line of Game & Watch handhelds called Color Screen.

Pokemon Silver is a role-playing game played from a top-down perspective, in which the player explores the world, catches wild creatures called Pokemon, and trains them through turn-based battles. Set in the Johto region, it continues the core loop of building a team, earning Gym Badges, and completing the Pokedex by capturing, evolving, and trading creatures.
