Super Skidmarks

This package adds a number of new features to the chaotic and thrilling racing game Super Skidmarks. The major additions are 2 new track disks, featuring a total of 12 new tracks (taking the game up to 36), featuring the succession of loops, jumps and crossovers of the original. In addition, the track disks are now fully hard-disk installable (the program and car disks always were). The program disk has been replaced with an updated one, featuring two new difficulty levels and new championships to take advantage of the new tracks.

Super Skidmarks is a racing video game developed by Acid Software and released in 1995. The game is the sequel to Skidmarks and as such was also termed Skidmarks 2 and Super Skidmarks 2 by commentators. The game features “minimally realistic” action viewed from an isometric perspective as well as novelty vehicles such as wheeled cows and caravans. Various methods such as joypad adapters and link systems are employed to allow multiple players to compete, up to a maximum of 8. The game was critically acclaimed and a best-seller in the UK. Several upgrades to the Amiga original were released as well as conversions for the Amiga CD32 and Sega Mega Drive, the latter published by Codemasters.

Aqua GT is powerboat racing game. It features three modes: Championship, Arcade and Two-player. Championship mode is the main single player game, where you advance through the Bronze, Silver and Gold Championships. In the Arcade gameplay mode you have to beat the clock. In two-player split screen mode you go head to head against another player. There are 5 boats to choose from, and you can unlock another 15 while progressing through the game. All boat vary in speed, acceleration and handling. The tracks are set in canals of major cities, like London, Amsterdam and New York. Each track has a high or low tide, and you can race at day time or during the night time.

Wreckfest is a racing video game developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. It features demolition derbies and traditional races with a strong emphasis on vehicular damage and realistic physics. The game includes various modes such as career, multiplayer, and custom events. Released in 2018, Wreckfest is notable for its detailed destruction modelling and the strategic depth required in vehicle customisation and handling.

This third-person racing game resembles Gremlin's earlier Lotus series, in terms of its general look and feel, right down to the text font used in the game. Your task is to race through 16 countries, each of which features four races, with many real-world circuits recreated in incongruous locations (such as the Monza layout in Ayers Rock, and the old Hockenheim in Vancouver). This can be spent on various upgrades, ranging from engine to tires (wet and dry) and from shocks (front, side and rear) to gearboxes. The ideal approach is to buy the more expensive versions ASAP, as you get no saving when upgrading. If you win the four-race championship, you get the next password. You get a set amount of nitro boost to use during each race, although bonus nitros, money and instant speed-up token appear on many tracks. Hazards such as puddles, barriers and ramps are also frequent.
