The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

A top secret government communications facility responsible for intercepting and decoding the enemy's transmissions has gone radio-silent. Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter in which the player assumes the role of its titular character, Max Payne. A new feature to the series, introduced in Max Payne 3, is the cover system, which allows players to gain a tactical advantage, and avoid taking damage from enemies. To progress through the linear story, players take on enemies throughout levels. The game features interactive cutscenes which transition seamlessly into continuing gameplay; there are no loading screens across gameplay and cutscenes.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a first-person shooter set in a near-future scenario where the United States has been devastated by an orbital weapons strike. The single-player campaign follows Logan Walker, a soldier fighting alongside an elite special operations unit called the Ghosts against the Federation of the Americas, a South American military superpower. Multiplayer introduces destructible map elements, new game modes such as Cranked and Blitz, and a Squads mode with AI-controlled teammates. Gears of War is a third-person shooter built around a cover system, where players duck behind obstacles and use tactical fire to advance on enemies. The signature weapon is an assault rifle fitted with a chainsaw bayonet, and a timed reload mechanic can grant a brief damage bonus or jam the gun if mistimed. The five-act campaign can be played solo or in two-player co-op, and a competitive multiplayer mode supports up to eight players split between the two factions. It was the first game in the Gears of War series and helped popularize the modern cover-based shooter, later receiving remastered versions.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is an action-adventure shooter game played from a first-person perspective. It is the semi-sequel to 2009's Wolfenstein, however utilizes very little from the game and drops any direct references to veil or supernatural. To progress through the story, the player battle enemies throughout levels. The game utilizes a health system in which players' health is divided into separate sections that regenerate; if an entire section is lost, the player must use a health pack to replenish the missing health. In combat, a cover system can be used as assistance against enemies. The player have the ability to lean around, over, and under cover, which can be used as a tactical advantage during shootouts and stealth levels. The game gives the player a wide variety of weapon options—they can be found on the ground, retrieved from dead enemies, or removed from their stationary position and carried around.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is a third-person action game that connects the movie and Cybertron universes through a quest to secure the powerful Dark Spark artifact. Players control over 40 Transformers characters, freely switching between robot and vehicle forms while battling across Earth and Cybertron. The game features a shared progression system between its single-player campaign and four-player cooperative Escalation mode, where players unlock upgrades and rewards that carry over between both experiences.
