Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a follow-up to Shattered Dimensions, and similarly it has more than one Spider-Man takes a starring role. A new villain Walker Sloan enters the picture with a plan to rebuild the past (from the year 2099) in his image and design, which turns to affect both Spider-Men. From this point, chaos unfolds in typical comic-book fashion with gameplay evenly split between Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, with every other level interwoven with the events of one Spidey to the other.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions blends together the many alternate universes of the world-famous webslinger with four unique takes on Spider-Man's history in comics. In the game, Spider-Man attempts to retrieve a piece of a tablet that's been scattered across multiple parallel dimensions, and in doing so he crosses over to storylines famous to comic book aficionados as variant tellings (including The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Noir & Ultimate Spider-Man) of the Spider-Man mythology.

The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, released in 2005, is an action-adventure video game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games). The game centres around the Marvel Comics superhero, the Hulk, and features an open world with destructible environments. The storyline depicts the Hulk being unconsciously guided by his human alter-ego, Bruce Banner, and his psychotherapist, Leonard Samson. They influence him to construct a device aimed at healing Banner's psyche and preventing the emergence of a darker personality. In addition to progressing through the main narrative, players can undertake side missions and acquire new abilities for the Hulk.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is an open-world third-person action-adventure game set in a version of Manhattan. Players control Spider-Man, web-swinging and wall-crawling across the city while completing story missions and optional street-level activities such as stopping crimes and rescuing civilians. Combat uses a free-flowing style with counterattacks and gadgets, and a Web-Rush mechanic lets players plan movement and strikes. A Hero and Menace reputation system rewards responding to crimes and penalizes ignoring them, which affects how the city and its enforcers treat Spider-Man. It is based on the continuity of the 2012 game rather than the films.
