The main mode in this latest installment in the Dynasty Warriors series is Story Mode, which follows the stories of the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu, and Jin. This completely new story includes new episodes with all-new characters and takes an ever deeper look at the drama that unfolds in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms compared to previous titles in the series. There are also new "What If?" scenarios that take a look at what could have happened if famous characters of the time period had lived on to fight another day.

12 additional stages will be added to Free Mode in which new powerful versions of all 77 weapon types will be available to acquire.

30 stages will be added to Free Mode. Additionally, a total of 10 new camp symbols based on themes such as the "Five Generals" and "Two Qiaos" will be added to Ambition Mode.

In Free Mode, 8 battlefields from previous Dynasty Warriors games are recreated for a total of 24 additional stages. In addition, unique animals such as Mammoth and Polar Bear can be obtained in the "Animal Battle" for each battlefield.

Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends is the first standalone expansion of the 2009 title Samurai Warriors 3. The game introduces two new modes, the "Original Career" mode which allows the opportunity to create original scenarios by completing missions and acquiring gold to increase the player's abilities and strength, as well as the series staple "Challenge" mode that has three challenges of varying objectives. It also adds new weapons, items, two new difficulty levels ("Novice" and "Hell") and stories for characters that did not have them in the original. The game also has online functionality which was not possible in the original.

In this game the player takes the role of a trained assassin named Meteor Blade. Together with his colleague Meng Xing Yun he was sent to kill an influential man. Unfortunately he has a lot of goons on his side which need to be dispatched. Meteor Blade is a standard 3rd person action game: the player clicks his mouse rapidly to hit his opponents. With the right key combinations he can perform combo attacks. Since the game uses a Far Eastern setting the player mostly uses swords or throwing knifes. The story is told by unvoiced texts which are reminiscent of chat texts known from online games: they appear on the upper side of the screen during game play.

Sengoku Basara 4 is the latest entry to the Sengoku Basara series by Capcom and was released for the PlayStation 3 on January 23, 2014. The game focuses on the theme of Sengoku Genesis and centers around the beginning of the Sengoku Period. There is also an expansion to the game called Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi. For this entry in the series, character design was passed to Tooru Ookubo, chief designer for the anime series, instead of series standby Makoto Tsuchibayashi.

Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura Den is a spinoff game focusing on the life of one of the series' main characters, Sanada Yukimura, released August 25, 2016. This entry marks the beginning of the Retsuden Series, which was abandoned after poor sales of this game. As such this title marks the last entry in Sengoku Basara series as a whole.

Furthermore, in contrast to the gameplay style and aesthetics already established by previous games, the Game Gear version takes a unique approach that is more similar to other beat 'em ups, such as the Streets of Rage series.

The Avengers: The Mobile Game is an action game based on the 2012 movie of the same name. Loki has come to earth to conquer it with the help of an alien race known as the Chitauri. In the game the player takes control of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the Hulk. The game is a 2D side scrolling beat 'em up where the player each level controls a different hero. Along way Avenger badges can be collected, each badges 100 earns the player an extra live. Health can also be replenished. The levels of Iron Man, Captain America and the Hulk take place on the ground while Thor fly’s through the sky in his levels. Some sections involve climbing and the Hulk can pick up objects that can be hurled at enemies.
