It is the third and final game in the Arland series and a direct sequel to Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland. The game features a turn-based battle system. Battles are based on the idea that the princess, Meruru, is the leader and those accompanying her are considered "escorts." Meruru can use items in battle and depending on the conditions in battle, her escorts can chain attacks and the power of the items can be increased.
Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Gust. As part of the "Atelier" series of games, it is the third and final installment of the "Dusk" storyline. The game's story takes place about 10 years after the beginning of Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk and 6 years after the beginning of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. The player is able to choose to play as one of two characters, each with a differing storyline and adventure; regardless of which character is chosen, the flow of the game remains the same. Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Gust. Atelier Rorona is the eleventh installment in the Atelier series, and it is the first title in the series to be developed for PlayStation 3, and it is also the first to utilize 3D models as opposed to the 2D sprites in earlier titles. Atelier Rorona's storyline is presented as a series of twelve tasks. Each of these tasks amounts to three months of the game's storyline and requires the player to complete it by the end of the period. The game has four main modes of gameplay: a field map, a battle screen, an alchemy system, and a visual novel system.
