BS Zelda no Densetsu

The Legend of Zelda is the first title in the Zelda series, it has marked the history of video games particularly for it's game mechanics and universe. The player controls Link and must make his way through the forests, graveyards, plains and deserts of the Otherworld to find the secret entrances to the eight dungeons and try to restore the broken Triforce. Among the game's mechanics, it was the first time we saw a continuous world that could be freely explored, power-ups that permanently enhanced the main character's abilities and a battery save feature that allowed players to keep their progress instead of having to start over. The gameplay balanced action sequences with discovery, secrets and exploration.

Ancient Stone Tablets was a Japan-Only release for the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It was an add on made for Satellaview, a system that takes radio broadcasts and processes them into games live. The game came in four weekly broadcasts and made new additions to the original, such as weather, many new dungeons, and a new story. The game was much like a Second Quest or Master Quest of A Link to the Past, sharing a very similar overworld with slight changes and entirely new dungeons. Unlike a Second Quest however, it has an entirely new story. Various actions earned the player points, and these points could later be traded in to Nintendo for different prizes. Ancient Stone Tablets is different from most other Zelda games as the game's central heroes are actually the avatars of the player's ID for the BS-X Broadcasting System (Super Famicon), drawn into Hyrule, which is also true for BS The Legend of Zelda. The difference being that this time the player does not take the place of Link, but takes part in a new tale set after the events of A Link to the Past. The male character wears a green tunic (though others are later available) and a backwards baseball cap. The female character has long red hair and is otherwise almost exactly the same as the male.

BS Zelda no Densetsu Map 2 is a sequel to BS Zelda no Densetsu, released for the Super Famicom add-on Satellaview. It is a reimagining of the original The Legend of Zelda for the NES. The player's avatar is the BS-X avatar, not Link. The game was broadcast through the Satellaview service as was Soundlink compatible, meaning it had orchestral music, narration and specific timed events.

Long ago, during the first age, an evil spell to bridge our world and the one of darkness was stopped before it could be used. The spell could not be destroyed, so instead, it was broken into six separate parts and scattered about the world. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a psychological horror action adventure, released in 2002 by Nintendo for the Gamecube. It tells the stories of twelve characters that span across the world and two millennia who have to deal with ancient forces of evil which have been trying to manifest themselves in our world. Chapters take place in Ancient Rome, Persia, the Middle East, and modern-day Rhode Island. Throughout the game, the protagonists will have access to several weapons appropriate for their era, from bastard sword & gladius to flintlock pistol and shotgun. The game features an involved Magic system, which allows different spells to be created through the combination of runes. These spells can attack enemies, dispel illusions, and heal both the body and items. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem also has a unique feature called Sanity. If an enemy sees a character, their Sanity meter drops. When Sanity gets low, hallucinations begin to plague the character. Walls bleed, voices whisper from nowhere, the camera gets disoriented. Sanity can be restored by dealing a finishing move on a dying enemy, or with spells or some items.

The Legend of Oasis is the prequel to Beyond Oasis, also known as The Story of Thor. Like its predecessor, it is an action game with role-playing elements. The gameplay is quite similar to that of Beyond Oasis. Leon can attack with melee weapons or use a bow for long-ranged attack. His armlet also allows him to summon spirits, who would damage the enemy or heal Leon. Instead of the usual experience points system the game features "ranks" (equivalent to levels); higher ranks increase the protagonist's hit points and can be gained by recovering his health multiple times.

Arkista's Ring is a game developed by American Sammy for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. It utilizes the familiar top-down perspective featured in many action-adventure games, such as The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Shining Force. What sets it apart is the linear style of the game, as well as the limitation of one primary character. Interestingly, Arkista's Ring is an example of an early game with a female protagonist-an elf named Christine. The game is now considered to be a particularly rare NES title.
