The game expands on what The Two Towers accomplished, with the action and adventure sequel introducing three separate story lines from the movie: one following Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, as The Two Towers did, another following Gandalf, and a third following Frodo and Sam, with Merry, Pippin, and Faramir serving as unlockable characters. Gameplay features were also expanded upon, including multiplayer.
The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest for the PS3 and Wii tells the story of Aragorn during the War of the Ring. The Wii version has different shading and lacks many voice acted lines for NPCs, as well as the intro sequence features different art for the story telling. The game also lets you attack by swinging with your Wii remote or the Move controller for Playstation 3. The game also supports local co-op where the second player controls Gandalf.
